Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

If you have been exploited or abused, you may be able to make a claim to the Home Office on the basis of being a victim of trafficking and modern slavery. You may also be eligible to apply under this category if you have been a victim of sexual exploitation.

Indicators of being a victim of trafficking and modern slavery include, but not limited to:

  • Being brought to another place for work
  • Being lied to about the type of work which you may have to do
  • Being made to do work which you do not wish to do
  • Not being paid for your work
  • Having your movements and social interactions controlled
  • Working long hours with no breaks

You may be granted leave to remain in the UK on the basis of your experiences as a victim of trafficking and modern slavery.

Contact a member of our team to discuss whether your experiences are suitable for such an application, or whether any other categories of application may be suitable for your circumstances.

We offer both telephone and video meetings via a range of video and messaging services.
