We advise business and employees on employing European nationals. Freedom of movement for EEA nationals ended on 1st January 2021, any European National entering the UK after this date must now comply with the requirements under the Skilled Worker category should they wish to work in the UK. 

 

European nationals together with qualifying family members already in the UK, or those that arrived by 31st December 2020, should have made applications under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). The EUSS will grant either pre-settled status (which can be upgraded to settled status after 5 years leave), or settled status allowing EU nationals to continue to work and live in the UK. We can assist with both Pre-settled and Settled status applications.

 

Businesses/organisations and institutions must now obtain a sponsorship licence if they wish to continue to recruit EU or non-EU nationals.
