The Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Category closed on 29th March 2019 to all new applicants and has been replaced by the Innovator Founder Visa. Applicants who previously entered under the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) category will be able to extend their stay under the previous rules until 5th April 2023 and also apply for settlement until 5th April 2025.
The Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant route is closed to all new initial applications for entry clearance or leave to remain. This includes no longer being able to switch into this route from other routes.
Applicants wishing to extend their visa must have, or have last had entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant (in the 12 months immediately before the date of application). The application must be made before 17th February 2026. Applicants wishing to apply for settlement (indefinite leave to remain) must make their before 17th February 2028.
