A man from South Wales has been prosecuted after he dumped household waste and carpets in Aylesbury.
Jason Robert Hunt, 35, of Giants Grave Road, Neath in South Wales was spotted by a passerby depositing the waste from the back of his van in a green area in Aylesbury.
The witness took down the registration number of Mr Hunt’s van and reported the incident to Thames Valley Police.
The court heard that, later that week on 17 April 2015, Mr Hunt was caught on camera in Rose Avenue, Aylesbury, dumping carpets and household waste from the same van. On both occasions, Mr Hunt was with another male who has not yet been traced.
Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire investigators twice interviewed Mr Hunt at a police station for the two separate offences.
During the interviews, he admitted only to one offence, but in court he pleaded guilty to both offences.
At Wycombe Magistrates’ Court, Hunt was fined £720 and ordered to pay £1,112 towards prosecution costs. A victim surcharge of £70 was also levied, making a total of £1,902.
