Duncan Lewis Public Law Director Toufique Hossain has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society of British Bangladeshi Solicitors (SBBS) at their Excellence Awards.

The award recognises Toufique’s outstanding commitment to legal aid, particularly his pivotal role in securing the Rwanda Supreme Court victory. It also highlights his tenacity and courage in handling high-profile cases, where legal professionals often face criticism and hostility from parts of the media.

While this award celebrates his individual achievements—as well as those of his team—it also reflects his influence as a leading figure within the British-Bangladeshi legal community.

Expressing his gratitude, Toufique said:

This marks yet another accolade for Toufique, who last year received the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards 2024.
