I joined Duncan Lewis in 2023 and I assist the firm's Court of Protection directors in property and finance and health and welfare matters. My workload consists of assisting solicitors with the seamless management of high value property and financial affairs deputyships and specific applications to the Court of Protection. Many clients I have assisted are awarded substantial damages for brain injuries.
My workload also includes acting on behalf of vulnerable clients and their family members in s21a and s16 proceedings concerning deprivation of liberty and best interests. I also deal with wills, trusts, probate and letters of administration matters.
I am approachable and understanding. I seek to ensure vulnerable clients' wishes and feelings are considered.
Before my experience in Court of Protection work, I worked at Citizens Advice as a housing caseworker. During this time, I helped a vulnerable client obtain temporary emergency housing.
I have passed all of the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations and I'm well on my way to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2025. I have gained a master's in law (integrating the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations) at the University of Law.
