I am a Consultant Solicitor in the Public Law and Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, where I have been working since August 2020.
At Duncan Lewis, I have had a leading role in a number of wide-ranging and notable judicial review claims, including:
- A challenge to the Lord Chancellor for his failure to fulfil his statutory duty to secure legal aid in immigration and asylum, by failing to increase legal aid rates or otherwise address the legal aid crisis.
- A challenge to the Home Office’s "Rwanda Policy" on behalf of an individual asylum seeker at risk of removal.
- A challenge to the Home Office’s "Pushback Policy" on behalf of Care4Calais and the Public and Commercial Services Union.
- A challenge to the legality of the Afghanistan Resettlement and Immigration Policy for a British-Afghan family in Afghanistan.
- A challenge to the Home Office's policy to refuse biometric excusal for individuals unable to safely travel to visa application centres.
My work includes representing asylum seekers, trafficking victims, individuals facing deportation and organisations. I handle judicial review claims and represent clients throughout their asylum process, including appeals at the First-tier and Upper Tribunals.
