Nicola Arnesen

I am a Trainee Solicitor based in our Dalston office. I specialise in both public law and private law children law proceedings. I am also experienced in dealing with cases involving serious domestic abuse and have obtained Non Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders on behalf of my client’s. I have provided advice on Forced Marriage Protection Orders. I work closely with my clients to achieve the best outcome for them and their children.

I began working at Duncan Lewis in February 2020 as a casework and began my Training Contact in February 2021, I am due to qualify in December 2023 having returned from maternity leave in March 2023.

I understand that these proceedings are extremely emotional and important to my clients whether that is during child arrangements orders, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, Public Law Outline proceedings or care proceedings. I ensure my clients are fully aware of the process and understand what is expected of them. I hope to be able to reduce worries associated with court proceedings and put forward an effective case throughout these proceedings.

I am experienced in dealing with vulnerable clients and ensured they receive the correct support whether that is through a support worker or intermediary at court.
