Matilda Tenkorang is one of the latest to qualify as a Solicitor in the Immigration department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, based in our City of London office. She works under the expert supervision of Deena Parmar and Vilash Gami, and has quickly established herself as a committed and compassionate advocate for clients navigating complex immigration and public law challenges.

Finishing her traineeship and qualifying in 2025, Matilda manages a diverse caseload that spans asylum and humanitarian protection claims, human rights applications, trafficking matters, and appeals. She also advises on issues of detention and bail, including unlawful detention, false imprisonment, and potential Judicial Review proceedings—demonstrating both depth and breadth in her legal expertise.

She is also accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, recognising her as a trusted and competent advisor in this field.

Discussing the course of her traineeship, Matilda said:

“I think my training was really effective in preparing me for my qualifying role. I had the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and as the time went by the intensity and difficulty level of the cases I was involved with was increased, the way this was implemented made it so that I never felt like I was given too much to the point of not being able to cope or understand what I was working on. I think that will be my highlight for my training.”
