He was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year at the Law Society Excellence Awards 2017 and shortlisted for Partner of the Year at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards. Ahmed’s team in Birmingham specialises in all areas of public law including immigration, asylum and human rights matters.

Krina Parmar is a director in the Family and Child Care department at Duncan Lewis and is a ‘Recommended Individual’ in The Legal 500, 2019. The Family and Childcare team at Birmingham handle both public and private law children matters including international child abduction and adoption matters, forced marriage applications, female genital mutilation (FGM) applications and emergency matters including the removal of children and cases of domestic abuse.

Housing Director Lorick Winarskie, who has 30 years of experience in housing law, leads a team of lawyers committed assisting both tenants and landlords with a wide range of housing matters including homelessness appeals, defending possession proceedings, anti-social behaviour injunctions and judicial review claimant matters. Lorick has represented clients at all levels of proceedings including at the Supreme Court.

Director of Family and Child Care, Richard Gray has a particular specialism in public law childcare matters and has dealt with a large number of complex matters. He has been an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2011 and is a ‘Recommended Individual’ in the 2019 edition of The Legal 500.
