Duncan Lewis Solicitors is pleased to have been recognised once again by The Legal 500 UK Solicitors Directory as one of the country’s leading law firms, with its immigration, family and childcare and social housing practice areas receiving Top-Tier accolades in its recently published 2024 edition.

Overall, The Legal 500 UK Solicitors 2024 edition has ranked and recommended Duncan Lewis Solicitors for its excellence in 26 practice areas across all of our offices nationwide. Viewed by The Legal 500 as a company that “go out of their way for each and every client”, a total of 72 of our lawyers are ranked and recommended for their specialisms, sharing a remarkable 150 rankings between them. Out of these 150 rankings, 48 of them are new. More than 53 of our lawyers are mentioned by name in The Legal 500 UK commentary for their standout contribution to respective practices across all of our key offices nationwide. These mentions reflect the significant breadth of expertise and experience within Duncan Lewis Solicitors and includes Leading Individuals, Next Generation Partners, and Rising Stars, in addition to Recommended Lawyers, Key Lawyers and Practice Heads.

We are proud to have successfully retained our Top-Tier (TIER 1) status for the outstanding work that is carried out by our Immigration teams in immigration, asylum, nationality, across London, the South East, the West Midlands and Wales; the Legal 500 applauded our niche specialism in immigration judicial review cases engaging human rights in relation to removal, unlawful detention, suitability of immigration accommodation, and civil liberties. The Immigration team is described in the guide by industry professionals as “A leading practice in all the big strategic litigation around immigration. They are now the team to beat. Totally top end – completely brilliant.”

For the first time, we are delighted to announce that our Housing department has been crowned as a Top Tier department for their “excellent knowledge in the law” in representing tenants and landlords in Social Housing matters, cases of disrepair and unlawful evictions across the South East. For a second year in a row, we are thrilled that the firms’ Family and Childcare teams, described as an ‘exceptional’ practice, have retained their Top-Tier Frim accolade for their legal services across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Following its placement as a Tier 4 team in last year’s guide, we are thrilled that our Commercial Litigation department has built on its success, attaining a Tier 3 rankings in the South East for the first time. This year, our Manchester-based Family and Childcare team has also joined the ranks, having been named as a Firm to Watch in the North West.

Many of the firms’ Directors have received top rankings.
