Duncan Lewis offered a select number of Indian solicitors to participate in their Dual Qualifying scheme. The Dual Qualifier program is the first program of its kind and is aimed at Indian Solicitors who want to gain experience with a reputed London firm and go on to qualify as a solicitor in the UK.
Duncan Lewis is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and is empowered to provide work experience under the amended QLTT scheme. All of our Solicitors are well versed in mentoring interns and are fully experienced in their practice areas.
Duncan Lewis offered their Dual qualifiers caseworker roles in various areas of law, including immigration, crime and employment law. The Dual qualifier program is structured to rotate in essence like a trainee solicitor through three to four seats and each seat lasting between six and eight months. Initially each seat will have a classroom/internet based study component initially. Dual Qualifiers then began to shadow solicitors and eventually assisting their supervising solicitors in increasingly complex tasks to gain experience in UK law and also learn processes and conducts of practice in the UK. Duncan Lewis training plans are specifically designed to provide Dual Qualifiers with the skills and experience required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s guidance.
Three members of Duncan Lewis have completed the Dual Qualifier scheme. Gaurav Kaushik, Supreet More and Krishnakanth A V Balasubramani completed their seats at Duncan Lewis and have recently taken their Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT); all have passed. Gaurav, Supreet and Krishnakanth are now eligible to practice as solicitors in the UK.

This achievement is even more significant given the fact that many of them have progressed to taking the QLLT exams and passing them ahead of the intended schedule. It is also pleasing to see how they have adapted to working in their respective departments at Duncan Lewis and the team ethic they have all displayed*ie*’
