Duncan Lewis has undergone further expansion in the vicinity of its largest office on Kingsland High Street in Hackney. Having outgrown the office space at number 1 Kingsland High Street on the corner of Balls Pond Road, the company has added capacity for 40 more fee earners in the office premises at 432 Kingsland High Street from 1 September 2008.
The new office houses the detention centre, public law and advocacy immigration teams, as well as the Dalston based Mental Health department. In all around 30 fee earners have moved into the office – leaving room for expansion of those departments in the short term.
The office move was a considerable logistical feat, coming at the same time as the firm’s first major acquisition – of the Shepherds Bush firm, White Ryland, meant that resources were stretched to the limit in establishing a Duncan Lewis presence in two offices on opposite sides of London simultaneously.
The company believes that the capacity created in Dalston will be sufficient for medium term expansion requirements – particularly in light of the intention to grow geographically by way of the addition and further expansion of offices in Romford, Luton and New Cross Gate.
