An interim order is a temporary order made by the Court until such time that the Court proceedings can be concluded and a final order can be made.
The Court can make interim orders in a number of different situations, for example, where the welfare of the child requires immediate protection by way of a Court Order. The Court may also make an interim order when there is insufficient evidence to make a final order and further assessments are necessary.
It is important to note that an interim order must be complied with in the same way as a final order.
