A Preston father, who claimed to have secured the attendance of Peter Andre at a charity event, has admitted his guilt to fraud charges. The crimes of Shaun Bradbury centred on a charity project known as Dominic’s House that was set up in honour of his two autistic sons.
Eight of the ten charges against Mr. Bradbury relate to his dishonest use of a relative’s cash card where, in specific cases, he used it to fund ‘charity’ gigs. The 35-year-old had promised fans of Peter Andre that they would be granted with the opportunity to meet the singer at Preston’s Guild Hall on the day of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. A Guild Hall spokesperson claimed that Mr. Bradbury had provisionally booked the venue on April the 29th. In excess of 300 tickets were sold for the event in which Mr. Bradbury had claimed to secure several stars of the screen. However, he later claimed that Peter Andre had received an invitation to the royal wedding and could not attend the event. Mr. Andre told the press that he had not been asked to attend the event and had not been invited to the royal wedding.
Mr. Bradbury allegedly booked a room at Chorley’s Park Hall Hotel for the April the 29th charity event, informing them that his plans to host the event at the Guild Hall had fallen astray. Mr. Bradbury claimed that the event was to be held to raise funds for Dominic’s House. However, he had not registered the project as a charity.
