I am a Housing Solicitor and Supervisor at Duncan Lewis City of London office. I joined the firm as an intern in July 2014 and gained experience in Family Law including Islamic Marriages and Divorces, Finances, Islamic Mehr Claims and Children matters. I am proudly listed as a 'Recommended Lawyer' by The Legal 500 (2024).
Whilst at Duncan Lewis, I have taken part in volunteering at the Pro Bono Clinic and projects including Register Our Marriage and Macmillan Cancer support events.
Since April 2016, I have been handling housing matters including Homelessness, Disrepair Claims, Statutory Reviews and Appeals, Eviction, Unlawful Eviction and Possession Proceedings.
I was offered a Solicitor Training Contract in the Housing Department in March 2017. I further dealt with cases relating to Neighbour Disputes and Civil Litigation. I regularly attended court as a Housing Duty Solicitor at Central London and Barnet County Court where I handled possession proceedings, eviction matters and mortgage/debt claims. I have strong experience in advocacy and representing clients at court.
I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2019 and was offered a Supervisory role in April 2021. Since I have been supervising my own team of housing paralegals and solicitors.
I took the role of advising clients in the Citizens Advice Bureau at Epping Forest District. I am also proud to be part of the Duncan Lewis Charity Committee.
