Premal Patel

I am Solicitor in the Family Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors and have experience in dealing with Private Children and Public Law proceedings. I undertake both publicly and privately funded work.

I was admitted as a solicitor in February 2023 and I am working towards becoming an accredited member of the Law Society's Family and Children panels.

I advise and represent individuals in regards to divorce, children matters arising from the breakdown of marriage, which includes Child Arrangement Orders [live with & spend time with] and Specific Issue Orders.

I also have experience in representing vulnerable clients who are victims of domestic abuse and assisting in obtaining protective orders such as Non-Molestation Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Occupation Orders. I also enjoy undertaking work where the former matrimonial home requires the tenancy to be severed and transferred from joint names into a sole name.

I have successfully represented clients who are not fluent in English with the use of interpreters and do my own advocacy where possible.
