I am a Solicitor in the Public Law and Immigration department, having joined the firm’s City of London office in September 2021 and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2023.
My work incorporates a wide range of public law matters, predominantly in the field of immigration and human rights. I have extensive experience representing highly vulnerable clients including victims of torture and human trafficking/modern slavery, as well as people lacking mental capacity.
I have particular experience in complex appeals before the Special Immigration Appeals Commission ('SIAC'), including representing clients deprived of their British citizenship on grounds of alleged involvement in serious organised crime and in the interests of national security. I have also worked on a number of challenges to government policies regarding the UK asylum system.
My caseload includes:
- Asylum, trafficking and protection claims
- Bail (Immigration Removal Centres)
- Unlawful detention
- False imprisonment
- Deprivation of citizenship
- Removals
- Deportation
- Appeals to the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, SIAC, and the Court of Appeal
- Related judicial review matters
I work predominantly on legal aid matters and am accredited as a Senior Caseworker (Immigration and Asylum Law) by the Law Society.
I am committed to the promotion and protection of each client’s fundamental rights and the notion that every person should have access to quality legal representation in such matters.
