Domestic Abuse and Violence

I am a Family and Childcare Caseworker in the Manchester office, and work together with, and under the supervision, of Solicitor Emily Reed. I joined Duncan Lewis Solicitors in July 2023 after completing my postgraduate Barrister Training Course degree at BPP University Manchester.

Working with my Supervisor Emily Reed, I not only support the progression of cases, advise clients, prepare legal documents and communicate with clients and third parties, but also represent clients in a range of family law matters. I specifically assist clients in matters that are characterised by domestic abuse in various forms.

These include, but are not limited to proceedings regarding:

• Non-Molestation Orders
• Occupation Orders
• Forced Marriage Protection Orders

I assist clients who are legally aided and privately paying. I am experienced in assisting clients to obtain legal aid (if eligible) to fund their cases and advising private clients using affordable fixed fees and hourly rate pricing packages.

I have extensive experience working with extremely vulnerable individuals and pride myself on my ability to support clients in these matters.

Child Care

I also assist in Public Law Outline matters (PLO).

Furthermore, I assist on private proceedings regarding:

• Child Arrangement Orders (Contact)
• Child Arrangement Orders (Residence)
• Prohibited Steps Orders
• Specific Issue Orders

I assist clients who are legally aided and privately paying. I am experienced in assisting clients to obtain legal aid (if eligible) to fund their cases and advising private clients using affordable fixed fees and hourly rate pricing packages.

I have extensive experience working with extremely vulnerable individuals and pride myself on my ability to build a rapport with clients and Counsel alike.
