Sophie Burchett

I am a Solicitor within the firm's City and Luton offices, specialising in both public and private law children matters and representing children, parents, grandparents and extended family members in a wide range of matters. I am a member of the Law Society's Children Panel. I am also a Resolution trained Family Mediator (all issues).

I have extensive experience in domestic violence work, including on applications for Non-molestations orders, Forced Marriage Protection Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders and cases involving domestic abuse on children, in both public and private law matters. I represent parents and other family members, most often through Legal Aid for domestic abuse. I am also regularly instructed by appointed children's guardians to represent children both in public law matters and who have been joined as a party in the most complex of private-law children matters, often including allegations of domestic abuse.
