Profile / Experience
I am a Caseworker in the Child Care Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors, based in the City of London office. I currently work under the supervision of Director, Kathy Walker.
I have a considerable understanding of the Court process after sitting on an extensive amount of hearings. In addition to this, I have experience in representing clients at Public Law Outline meetings and advising them throughout the Local Authority’s involvement. My role within the team predominately involves supporting and assisting the team of solicitors and the day-to-day progression of matters in all areas of child care law. I often deal with cases involving vulnerable clients and issues such as domestic violence, mental illness, substance misuse and neglect. I therefore recognise the sensitivity of these types of cases and ensure clients are fully supported throughout proceedings.
Whilst at university, I offered free legal advice to the community at the Essex Law Clinic and volunteered at a local centre to teach English to refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers.
