I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Housing department at Duncan Lewis. I also have experience in the Public Law and Court of Protection departments. I work under the supervision of Director Bernadette Chikwe and I am based in the City of London office.
My main areas of practice are disrepair claims, homelessness claims and suitability reviews and I am gaining experience in Court Duty.
I also have experience in mental capacity litigation in the Court of Protection. I have experience of taking instructions from adults and young people with disabilities and physical and mental health difficulties. I also assist colleagues on public law cases concerning statutory appeals and education law.
Prior to joining Duncan Lewis, I practised in education law and I have experience representing parents and young people in the Special Educational Needs and Disability division of the First Tier Tribunal on refusals to assess/issue Education, Health and Care Plans, as well as appeals against the content of Education, Health and Care Plans. I have helped secure high-cost specialist independent schools, special educational provision, and social care provision for children and young people with special educational needs.
