Alleena Akhtar

I am a Trainee Solicitor at Duncan Lewis Solicitors Private Immigration Team. I have always focused my legal interests towards Immigration Law and thoroughly enjoy the learning, challanges and experience my role has to offer. My area of specialist interest is human rights and deportation appeals.

I have extensive experience with appeal matters, more notably deportation appeal cases. One of my most distinguished cases I have worked on was taken forward to the Houses of Parliament with a successful outcome. I have taken on numerous immigration cases including Bail Applications and Representation, Spouse Visa Applications, Visit Visa Applications, Indefinite Leave to Remain Applications, Further Leave to Remain Applications, Deportation Appeals, Debated Nationality, Revocation Applications and more.

I have a vigorous passion for immigration law and human rights and I strive to work in the best interests of the client. I endeavor to help and provide the client with justice and a positive outcome.

I am multi-lingual. I fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, and can speak basic Arabic, allowing me to communicate with various clients on a level they are comfortable with.

I have participated in Political Parliamentary Style Debating for the entirety of my Undergraduate Education. I was awarded the first ever undergraduate in their first year at university to win a debating competition at Bangor University (Wales). I also enjoy photography and I am constantly looking to bettering my skills.
