I am a newly qualified Solicitor in the Child Care and Family department. I joined Duncan Lewis in January 2025 and I am based in the City of London office. I have experience in successfully running Family Law cases, including Public Law cases involving the Local Authority. I am well versed in the Children Act 1989 and Part IV of the Family Law Act 1996.
My experience during my time as a trainee solicitor and paralegal has allowed me to work closely with clients from the start of the Public Law Outline process to the point at which a Local Authority may issue care proceedings. I provide tailored advice to each client’s differing situation and make sure that I aid the client in making the process as smooth as possible, at what is often a daunting time. I am experienced in running publicly funded cases and successfully applying for Legal Aid, provided that clients are eligible.
I gained indispensable experience in advocacy during my training regularly attending initial hearings and non-contested hearings such as Issue Resolution Hearings or Early Final Hearings.
Vulnerable clients matter and I work closely with them every day. My proficiency in Polish has been instrumental in assisting non-English speaking clients, enhancing their comfort and making sure that they feel heard. I work with victims of domestic violence as well as domestic violence charities to provide legal advice to them and successfully obtain injunctions. Strong rapport with my clients is something I pride myself on.
