Laiba's Adoption Profile / Experience

I have experience in assisting in representing parents in respect of Adoption and Placement orders, revocation of Placement Orders and post adoption contact. I have an empathetic and proactive approach in navigating this complex area of law, providing realistic and clear assistance at a sensitive time.

I can assist and deal with the following in respect of Adoption matters:

• Opposing Adoption and Placement Orders arising from care proceedings issued by a Local Authority

- Following assessments completed in care proceedings, the Local Authority may recommend Care and Placement Orders are made. I have experience with opposing these orders. After the Placement Order has been in place for a period of time, an Adoption Order can be sought by the Local Authority. I can assist with opposing the same if there is evidence of a significant change in circumstances (theirs or the child's, which is of a sufficient nature or degree)since the Placement Order was made.

• Applications for post adoption contact with a child or children. At any time after the making of an adoption order an application can be made for post adoption contact to be considered by the person(s) in whose favour the adoption order was made, the child or any person who has been given permission by the court to make an application.
