In many if not the majority of cases, the ultimate plan is for the children to be placed permanently away from their families in long-term foster care, or placed for adoption. I have represented parents and children in opposing these applications as well as independent/free-standing applications for Final and non-agency Adoption Orders or Revocation of Placement for Adoption Orders and in applying for contact with children in care or post adoption.

I have had the benefit of working with extremely good colleagues and Counsel/Barristers throughout my career whose knowledge and skills have been invaluable to developing my own skill set, practical knowledge and advocacy skills. Whilst ultimately the Court's paramount consideration is the child/children and their welfare and best interests, it is their parents whose needs also have to be considered and addressed in the hope that the starting point of non-separation or reunification can be achieved, in the interests of the family as a whole.

I am passionate about this and keeping well within sight the human rights of the parents and their children.
